O'Brien Intro post

Hi, my name is Richard O’Brien (the guy with the glasses in the photo) and I am a sophomore at Loyola. My major is English with a concentration in film and digital media. I spent the summer working as a counselor at an art camp in Birmingham. I was born in New York, but moved to Alabama with my family when I was thirteen. Right now my plans for the future are kind of up in the air. I have been thinking about becoming an English professor, but I would also like to write professionally. Scripts and short stories mostly. I’m interested in nature, mythology, and weird or fringe science. Most of my spare time is spent reading, sketching in my notebooks, writing, and playing videogames. I am a bit of a Sci-fi geek and have a great memory for random information. I am excited for the course and can’t wait to jump in and get going.
