Reames - Introductory Blog

Hi everyone, my name is Wendi Reames and I am currently a Junior, majoring in Social Science with a minor in History.  I am an Evening Division student, which enables me to continue working a full-time job during the day and finish my degree at night.  I work full-time as a paralegal, but I am also an artist specializing in glass paintings.  I have sold my artwork at the French Market and various art shows around town, and really enjoy painting and being creative.  I am not sure what my future holds as I have reached the top in my career, but foresee my degree advancing my career in possibly a new direction upon graduation.  I chose this photo of myself with my dog, Max, who is a 12 ½ years old Foxhound/Labrador mix as it is one of my favorites.

  1. I know you. Welcome back. Is that a basset hound? My husband had two of them. Did you know they are the dumbest dogs on record?

  2. Not sure I would agree about basset hounds being the "dumbest dogs on record" as hounds tend to have talents which far outweigh any measurement of canine intelligence, including excellent scent recognition. Typically, I do not categorize dogs by their intelligence, but by their ability to socialize and enrich their human companion’s lives. However, any argument over basset hounds’ intelligence is moot as my dog is not a basset hound, but a Foxhound/Labrador mix, as mentioned in my original post.
